Sushada?!?? IS MY NEW GIRL! She is a MASTER of her craft!! She is full of knowledge and experience and felt I was in SUCH good hands. She spent so much time cutting and layering my hair in all different directions, and SO efficiently. It was very reassuring that she knew what my vision was. I showed her inspo pics and she asked questions. Instead of putting a haircut on my head like a lego hair piece she customized it to my face and made it my own tailored cut. Her confidence in what I was saying made me feel very trusting of her. I will be seeing Shushada FOR THE NEXT FORESEEABLE FUTURE. QUEEEEEENN

This is my second haircut in DC. In the past, I have had unfortunate luck at hair salons with stylists not understanding what I truly want, miscommunications, or lack of understanding my hair type. I have very fine hair and tons of it so I’m always trying to obtain volume and ask for very layered hair.

I DIY my haircut a few weeks ago (because I was so discouraged from my last experience) and it needed correcting BAD. I did a quick google search and found Sushada. Her client photos are what made me make my appointment. I feel most stylist showcase more of their hair coloring and not as much as the hair cut itself, but Shushada had client photos with similar attributes to what I was trying to achieve. 15/10!

Sushada is a true artist. She has been doing my hair for five years now. And, in the five years that I've known her, I have lived in Michigan, California, Virginia, and DC. But, I always come back to DC for Sushada. If you give her a few pictures of the "look" you want, she will capture the essence of it and give you a cut even better than anticipated. She is somehow able to understand what you want and make the most flattering cut possible. For my long-haired friends: look no further, Sushada will work miracles by keeping the length you want while cleaning up the ends.

If you're wondering whether you need a nice haircut during covid-times, the answer is YES. Sushada made me feel like a person again after months of braids and messy buns. Even if it is just for myself, I will be wearing my fabulous hair down all around the house.  Please find my attached picture. I asked for an "updated Brooke Shields" look to go with my covid eyebrows and she DELIVERED. It was exactly what I wanted and more.

This salon is also extremely safe and adheres to strict covid safety guidelines. Everyone (including the salon staff) is temperature-checked upon arrival, and social distancing is in place. Sushada carefully disinfected my chair before and after my visit. Blanca did an incredible job washing my hair and massaging my scalp. I was concerned that Blanca's gloves would pull at my hair, but I honestly couldn't tell she was wearing them.

I very much recommend giving her a try. You will probably become a Sushada-lifer like me.

When Sushada cuts your hair everyone in the shop stops to see a master at work! Best stylist I ever had. People stop me on the street to find out who tinted, cut and styled my hair. Sometimes I go conservative, sometimes funky. It’s all good.

Sushada is the best and truly understands what works best for your hair type, whether it's color, cut, shape, or treatment. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is SO sweet and makes you feel comfortable and confident. She is also generally one of the coolest people I know and always makes me feel like I am in good hands. I've never been dedicated to a hair stylist before, but Sushada changed that for me. I wish I had found her sooner in life so she could have saved me from some hair disasters!
